Confined Space Rescue & Support

Confined Space Rescue & Support Team is the go-to team for operating in challenging conditions. With our extensive experience in confined space projects worldwide, we can help you assess and manage your projects effectively. Our aim is to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment by providing secure access and exit strategies. Additionally, we offer a reliable response and rescue service in case of emergencies. Confined space rescue is our specialty. We excel in rescuing individuals trapped in confined spaces or areas that can only be reached through such spaces, like underground vaults, storage tanks, and sewers. These rescue operations can be extremely difficult due to limited space, poor visibility, and hazardous materials. It is crucial to have proper training and equipment before attempting to enter such spaces.

Our CSRS teams are well-equipped and trained to handle confined space rescues. Each team consists of a team lead who coordinates activities from outside the confined area, and at least two crew members who operate within the space. Depending on the conditions and the nature of the operation, larger teams may be deployed.

When do you need a confined space rescue team?

According to the Confined Space Regulations 1997 (Regulation 5 Emergency arrangements), no one should enter or work in a confined space without appropriate emergency arrangements in place.

These arrangements should include provisions for extracting workers from the confined space and providing first-aid equipment.

Are you unsure whether you need a CSRS team?

A confined space rescue team is typically required for works in high-risk confined spaces, as determined by the risk assessment.

If you are unsure whether you need a CSRS team, our team at IRM can conduct a site risk assessment and provide guidance on the necessary safeguards.
